FrameSift is built to work entirely offline. Here’s exactly what that means for your data.

TL;DR: FrameSift collects zero personal data
and sends zero usage data anywhere.
The short version
FrameSift doesn’t collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. It works entirely offline, and there’s no account, no server, and no tracking of any kind.
What FrameSift can access
FrameSift only works with the files and folders you explicitly drag in or choose through the system’s file picker. It never accesses your Photos library, and it never looks at files you haven’t selected yourself.
What FrameSift stores
The only thing FrameSift saves is a single preference on your Mac: how you’d like square photos handled, so you don’t have to set it again each time. That’s stored locally using Apple’s standard preferences system and never leaves your device. Undo information is kept in memory only while FrameSift is open, and is cleared once you close the app or start a new sort.
Network access
FrameSift makes no network requests of any kind. It includes no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party tracking libraries, so there’s nothing to send even if it wanted to.
Data sharing
Because FrameSift doesn’t collect any data, there’s nothing to share with anyone, including me.
Purchases
FrameSift is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles your purchase and payment details directly; FrameSift itself never sees or stores any payment information. Apple’s own privacy policy covers App Store transactions.
Children’s privacy
FrameSift doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, children included, since it doesn’t collect personal information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, I’ll update this page and revise the date at the top.
